Principal's Message

Dear Parents,

We have just entered our 4th and final marking period of the school year.  Our teachers and staff are committed to working with our students so they reach their full potential and show growth on their end of the year assessments.  We appreciate your partnership in ensuring that your child is present and on time each and every day of the last marking period to receive instruction.  A reminder that our first bell rings at 8:35AM and students must be in their classrooms prior to the tardy bell ringing at 8:45AM.

As you are aware, Orange County Public School students will be participating in FSA ELA and Math Assessments and NGSSS 2.0 Science Testing.  Our Instructional Coach/Testing Coordinator has created an overview PowerPoint for parents about state assessments.  Link to Parent Presentation

LaunchED Students returning for testing should plan on arriving on the testing days by 8:00AM.   All safety protocols will be followed during the assessment sessions. All students will enter from the bus loop.  Students without accommodations will enter through the cafeteria.  Students receiving accommodations as an ELL student or through an IEP or 504 Plan will enter school through the bus loop lobby doors by the flagpole.   Students without accommodations should be picked up outside the cafeteria doors at 10:15AM.  Parents of students with accommodations will be called when their child is finished testing and can pick them up outside of the front lobby.  Please make sure that you are within 15 minutes of the school after 10:15AM.  Specific questions about testing or accommodations can be directed to Ms. Shaw at [email protected] or by leaving a message at 407-876-7520 x 4094224.
